This article applies to M2 2015 for Windows platforms

Scenario: Blueprints in PDFs formats can be imported to M2 commercial editon. However, images in latest PDF format may be too light to read after imported to M2 drawing area.

Solution: Go to File menu->System Setting-> Image and Directory tab->find Image Option->PDF Importer->select a different PDF render and re-import the same PDF.

I have had this on occasion thanks for the tip .

Changing file type can work too in some situations.

Positive  - saving original file as .jpg (or any other commomn image format)can  be manipulated in photoshop etc.

Negative if you have a nice clean vector file (Pdf) and you start to modify in raster format poof you have just restricted your zoom in capabilities.

M2 does work with most Image formats(popular) its worth some study time can pull you out of a bind.

I should mention it is possible to edit pdf in Illustrator - I wrote a post for this about a year ago.
